A world without Islam—admittedly an almost inconceivable state of affairs given its charged centrality in our daily news headlines. Islam seems to lie behind a broad range of international disorders: suicide attacks, car bombings, military occupations, resistance struggles, riots, fatwas, jihads, guerrilla warfare, threatening videos, and 9/11 itself. Why are these things taking place? “Islam” seems to offer an instant and uncomplicated analytical touchstone, enabling us to make sense of today’s convulsive world. Indeed, for some neoconservatives, “Islam fascism” is now our sworn foe in a looming “World War III.”But indulge me for a moment. What if there were no such thing as Islam? What if there had never been a Prophet Mohammed, no saga of the spread of Islam across vast parts of the Middle East, Asia, and Africa? Given our intense current focus on terrorism, war, and rampant anti-Americanism—some of the most emotional international issues of the day—it’s vital to understand the true sources of these crises. Is Islam, in fact, the source of the problem, or does it tend to lie with other less obvious and deeper factors? For the sake of argument, in an act of historical imagination, picture a Middle East in which Islam had never appeared. Would we then be spared many of the current challenges before us? Would the Middle East be more peaceful? How different might the character of East-West relations be? Without Islam, surely the international order would present a very different picture than it does today. Or would it? In any democracy, media is the most potent weapon of attack and shield of defence. In India, most of print and electronic media is controlled by anti-Hindu forces. Most of this media is denigrating Hinduism, spreading misinformation about Hindu scriptures, and hurting Hindu sentiments. Besides though Hinduism is based on Vedas which stipulate a casteless society, anti-Hindu media is dividing Hindu society on the basis of caste. Genocide and eviction of Hindus from Kashmir are no news whereas Gujarat riots which started after Hindu rail passengers were torched at Godhra are always in the news. Infiltration of crores of Pak-Bangla nationals threatening to create one more Islamic country on Indian soil finds no space in media. Similarly, conversion of poorer Hindus to Christianity by fraud, inducement and coercion creates no ripples in media. It is deplorable that though there are many country-wide newspapers and television channels promoting anti-Hinduism and fake secularism, there is no all-India pro-Hindu daily news paper, or television channel projecting Hindu concerns. Surprisingly, no Hindu organization has given this subject the importance it deserves. De-Hinduized by Macaulayan education and brain-washed by anti-Hindu media, most Hindus know nothing about Hindu religion, scriptures, heritage and history, and therefore, are passive to attacks on Hinduism. In this dismal situation, only pro-Hindu mass media can educate Hindus about Hindu religion, heritage and history; liberate them from conceptual confusion and fake secularism, and make them pro-active to save Hinduism from demolition. Since all the problems facing Hindu society can be solved with the help of pro-Hindu media, all organizations and individuals must help to create the all-India pro-Hindu daily news papers and television channels at the earliest. This is the only way to save Hinduism. Hindus have forgotten the message: "Dharmo Rakshiti Rakshitah" (One who protects Dharma is protected by Dharma). Though as per Hinduism, Dharma (righteousness), Artha (material possessions), Kama (worldly desires) and Moksha (liberation from re-birth) constitute four purusharthas (human pursuits), most Hindus have forgotten their Dharma, their foremost duty. Hindus must defend their Dharma; and live with dignity, and without being discriminated against. Hindus have a glorious heritage of thousands of years which they must cherish and preserve. Hindus have fought repeated onslaughts, and preserved Hinduism over the centuries whereas all other native religions and civilizations have been wiped off from the earth by expansionist religions. Every Hindu family must devote time and resources to protect Hinduism. Many Hindus feel that since Hinduism has survived for thousands of years, it will continue to flourish for ever. But they overlook the worst ever attacks threatening Hinduism now. They also ignore the fact that Hinduism has been banished from Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh which also used to be Hindu lands. Hindus must remember that only a combination of wisdom and valour will ensure survival of Hinduism as Bhagvad Gita's last Shloka declares, "Yatra yogeshwarah Krishno yatra Paartho dhanurdharah, / tatra shreervijayo bhootirdhruvaa neetir matirmama" (Where Krishna, the Lord of yoga, and Arjuna, the wielder of bow are there; prosperity, victory, success, and glory will follow).
While Hindus from India in Germany have rarely attempted to open temples, Hindu Tamils who fled the conflict in Sri Lanka have been eager to establish their own places of worship, as have members of the smaller Hindu community from Afghanistan. Opening places of worship has gone along with the creation of institutional structures necessary for organizing and maintaining the temples. Hindu traditions are kept as much as possible, but it is usually not possible to hold the full daily schedule of religious services.
Out of two dozen Tamil temples in Germany (the first one established in 1988), only one is purpose built (in Hamm, opened in 2002), while another one is under construction in Berlin; all the others have been installed in converted factories or warehouses, in flats or in basements. Consequently, many of them are still seen as temporary places, to be enlarged or replaced by new temples in the future. The author expects that future temples will align more closely with the traditional south Indian models; for the time being, financial considerations or zoning regulations have been preeminent in decisions such as the orientation of the temples and the choice of locations. Hinduism has become increasingly established in the U.S. through a series of encounters over the past 150 years. These encounters are emblematic of Americans' increasing familiarity with Indian, and Asian, traditions; of contact between Americans and Indian immigrants, and of relationships among cultural traditions in a society that is self-consciously pluralistic. Two distinct forms of Hinduism have contributed to these encounters. In recent public lectures, Professor Vasudha Narayanan of the University of Florida has classified Hindu institutions in America today into two categories from Hindu tradition: 1. organizations that promote self-help practices (e.g. yoga, meditation), and 2. organizations that provide the means for formal ritual worship (e.g. temples). The engagement of Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau with the famous Hindu text, the Bhagavad Gita (via Charles Wilkins' 1785 translation), represents a notable early American encounter with Hindu ideals. Both authors viewed the Gita as an important Asian contribution to the consideration of familiar philosophical issues, especially the nature of self-discipline. As members of the literati, Emerson and Thoreau approached the Gita through self-study and reflection: Emerson wrote of his reactions to the text in his letters and journals, and Thoreau brought the text on his pilgrimage along the Concord and Merrimack Rivers. In their writings, knowledge of Asian tradition is an intellectual and spiritual pilgrimage. Instruction in the nature of Hindu ideals by a Hindu representative came some 40 years later, in the very public forum of the 1893 World's Parliament of Religions in Chicago. Swami Vivekananda (1863-1902), a disciple of Ramakrishna, authoritatively presented the Hindu worldview to an appreciative crowd. Sincerely—and shrewdly—he emphasized the worldview according to Advaita Vedanta philosophy, which posits a non-duality between the divine and the essence of humanity. Thus, Vivekananda eschewed the "idolatry" of some forms of Hinduism as "the attempt of undeveloped minds to grasp higher spiritual truths," in favor of an image of Hinduism as a process of spiritual development: "The Hindu religion does not consist in struggles and attempts to believe a certain doctrine or dogma, but in realizing; not in believing, but in being and becoming." The personal spiritual quest of Emerson and Thoreau was thus affirmed, yet Vivekananda placed this quest squarely within the context of the authority of Hindu tradition and the authority of a Hindu teacher. Further, Vivekananda appealed to this image of process in his assertion that all religions were one: "To the Hindu, then, the whole world of religions is only a traveling, a coming up, of different men and women, through various conditions and circumstances, to the same goal. Every religion is only an evolving of God out of the material man; and the same God is the inspirer of all of them. Why, then, are there so many contradictions? They are only apparent, says the Hindu. The contradictions come from the same truth adapting itself to the different circumstances of different natures. It is the same light coming through different colors." It was his assertion of the unity among religions that forged a rapprochement between speaker and audience, and Hinduism and Americans. Vivekananda also hoped that the Americans' encounter with Hinduism would lead to active engagement: One year after the World's Parliament, he established the Vedanta Society in New York, "the first Hindu organization designed to attract American adherents." Other teachers from India also sought to establish early institutions in America for the teaching of Hinduism. Baba Premanand Bharati was a Bengali disciple of Caitanya who lectured in the U.S. for five years and established the Krishna Samaj at the turn of the century. Swami Paramananda spent two years as an assistant at the New York Vedanta Society before establishing his own Vedanta societies in the Boston and Los Angeles areas; in 1923 he founded Ananda Ashrama, a mountain retreat in southern California. Swami Paramahansa Yogananda came to America in 1920 as a delegate to the International Congress of Religious Liberals held in Boston, then settled in America and founded the Yogoda-Satsang (Self-Realization Fellowship). His methodology involved the "science" of Kriya Yoga, which is the "union (yoga) with the Infinite through a certain action or rite (kriya)." Although he published several books on his vision of spiritual path, including the enormously popular Autobiography of a Yogi (1946), Yogananda maintained that a direct relationship with a guru was the key: "Because of certain yogic injunctions, I cannot give a full explanation of Kriya Yoga in the pages of a book intended for the general public. The actual technique must be learned from a Kriyaban or Kriya Yogi; here a broad reference must suffice." The path of self-help, understood both traditionally and by these early Hindu teachers in America, is for a disciple to work toward spiritual liberation through a combination of practice on one's own and instruction from the guru.The Vedanta Society is credited with building the first Hindu temple in the U.S., in San Francisco in 1906; others followed, such as the Hollywood Temple in 1938, and the Santa Barbara Temple in 1956 In keeping with the image of Hinduism Vivekananda had presented to Americans, the focus in these temples tended to be on understanding scripture. The phenomenon of building temples with a focus on the ritual worship of images began in the 1970s and was directly related to the presence of Hindu Indian immigrants in America. In 1965 the Immigration Act liberated the long-frozen immigration of Asians to America by removing the national origins quota system. In addition, the Act's "family reunification" policy facilitated a second wave of Asian immigration. The Hindu temples built in the U.S. during the 1970s can be classified into two categories. One, as ISKCON temples: These temples were built for a specific devotional community, which included both Euro-Americans and Indian-Americans. Two, as Hindu immigrant temples built for the Hindu immigrant community, which tend to incorporate diverse ways of worship as they attempt to bring Hindus together as a cultural community. A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (1896-1977), the founder of ISKCON (the International Society for Krishna Consciousness), came to New York City in 1965. Within one year, Prabhupada had established a "storefront ashram" at 26 Second Avenue, where he would give lectures on the Gita every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. At those sessions, he would teach young American seekers about bhakti, based upon the teachings of a classical Hindu saint, Chaitanya (1486-1533). Bhakti, a Sanskrit word whose root meanings are sharing, participation, and devotion, is a religious path defined by three interrelated premises: That humankind shares in the nature of divinity; that humankind must participate in the worship of divinity through action--especially chanting God's name; and that humankind must be guided by devotion to God and to a spiritual guru. There is much that can, and has, been written about ISKCON. For the purposes of this essay, we will note that Prabhupada's vision included both the guru-disciple relationship and temple worship. Thus, it combined the personal spiritual quest, embodied by the guru, with traditions of ritual worship. ISKCON built temples in cities across America, with the most famous being the elaborate Palace of Gold in New Vrindaban, West Virginia In north-central New Jersey, there is an ISKCON temple at 100 Jacksonville Road in Towaco (near Parsippany). The temple is a large colonial-style house, set on a hill off a winding country road. The disciples there say that the house has belonged to ISKCON for twenty years. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden which is tended by disciples. In total, the temple possesses some two and a half acres of land which, according to devotees, makes it liable for taxes, since it falls below the five acre minimum the town requires to bestow tax-free status on religious organizations. Several members live in the house; it is also a gathering place for ISKCON members in this and surrounding areas. There is a wide, open porch that greets one at the top of the stairs up the hill, and indeed the disciples are warm and friendly, in the context of encouraging others to take up the path of bhakti according to ISKCON.
Let us have an introspection upon the prevailing maladies and get the effective implementation of the better idea, the better measurements as to prevent them by the strong will power in order to protect the half of the human being which constituted the part of the women folk in the society. All the three faiths do not bring within its embrace, all humans tied together as the fellow humans. Therefore, these sects create within the society and narrow circles of brotherhood based on the fellowship of the followers only. Whereas, religion as followed by the humans should have a tendency of uniting the entire human society under some special social code. The above named Semetic faiths divide the society into narrow sects. This is very much unlike the ancient Aryan’s Sanatan Dharma about which India’s every sacred religious scripture speck in terms of 1. Vasudevam Kutumbkam 2. Sarva Dharma Sambhava 3. Vasudevam Kutumbkam means that the whole world is one family. Sarva Dharma Sambhava means it is possible to accommodate all faiths and religions at the same time.
The followers of Judaism called the Jews have their holy city in Jerusalem. Christianity came out of Judaism. Lord Jesus was its cause. Its holy place of birth is at Bethlehem presently in Israel. Somehow, there were some differences in the contents of the Old Testament and the propogatory statement of Lord Jesus. Some Jews were opposed to the same. A governor appointed on behalf of the ruler of Rome in Bethlehem was led to prosecute and hang Lord Jesus on the Cross. However, a few followers of Lord Jesus continued to spread his message. Three hundred years later came King Constantine who accepted Christianity that grew into a forceful and strong faith that soon spread around Rome & in other parts of Europe.
In the 11th century, the Roman Empire stood split in two parts into west and east. The Western Roman Empire and the Western Church accepted Rome as their guiding light of faiths and polities. The Eastern Roman Empire was guided from Constantinople now called Istanbul. The Western Roman Church accepted its leader at Rome and called him the Pope who ruled over the entire Western Europe and Western Church. The followers of Pope are called the Catholice. The Eastern Church that split up did not accept Rome and Pope as their leader. Hence, Russia, Greece, Georgia, Syria, and some more Eastern European countries followed their own revised religious ideas.
Some strong feelings of Nationalism exhibit a natural tendency within humans. This brings about a sense of commonness among a group of humans when it is based upon some common gains to be made by the humans inhabiting some territory that is politically governed for them. It is not only but natural that a homogeneous society comes into being. A feeling of Nationalism is in fact an emotional upsurge that unites all people onto one society when the emotions involved work to uplift the humans inhabiting a territory governed in their intrests.
Indian society by virtue of sub-continent’s a large mass of land provide such basis. This singular geographical entity itself is responsible for unifying all its inhabitants to adopt and work for some common kind of social and cultural upliftment. On top of its, the great land mass with flowing rivers of water further provides such a National cohesion. Such factors are divinely given to the people of India. A great stretch of plains with one commonness provides to Indian people, not only a sense of unity but it delivers to one and all, a sense of fraternity. This is because of society’s common concern. This has over the centuries of time repened into a common cultural, social, economical and spiritual faith. The most important singular factor that binds a nation is the faith of people in their ancestry and religion. Put together, it is termed as ‘Nationality’.
Ancient Indian sages, their spirituals pursuits and messages of one world family (Vasu-devam Kutummbkam) have greatly contributed to the very thought process of one India. Max Muller, Dr. Annie Beasant and several other world leaders of the past have openly declared, India without Hinduism is unthinkable. An independent India and her people are thus divinely ordained to protect their spiritual chord of National unity in which social and cultural emotions in commonness can be seen. We have therefore to take particular care of Hindutva philosophy that provides such a strong force of one commonness. This in turn does have its roots in India’s ancient religion. The religion has its roots in the minds of every Indian. Any attack on this activity and faith shall therefore need a very strong fencing around the philosophical principles of the Vedas. It is from there that such feelings of Indian Nationalism and Hinduism have grown. The latter is not merely a faith or belief in any sort of Gospel’s spread and introduced by its thinker, but Hinduism is in fact a way of life lived by the Indian people since time immemorial. Indianism and Hinduism have thus to be unabashedly declared as synonymous. It is this singular factor that provides to India its real inherent strength of every sort. This is regardless of the method chosen for its political governance.
Any idea contrary to this is suicidal and hence must be opposed with all the strength that the people of India can muster. Unlike original Indian political thinker like Tilak, Lajpaat Raj, Vipin Chander Paul and other such like political Leaders of the generations, the recent political Leaders like Gandhi and Nehru in fact can under the influence of the British system of education. A clear change towards Westernism became noticeable in the Indian history. This began with Gandhi and Nehru both diluting their inner feelings towards Hinduism and in its place, they substituted prematurely a sort of secularism. Indeed, this affected the minds of the people of India. Nothing more could please the British Imperialists who desired Indian society to split into groups based on anything other than one religion. Hindus being in majority were to be taken special care of. India came to be finally balkanized into two separate independent nations of India and Pakistan. The latter stood further divided into Pakistan and Bangladesh. The drawing of the date of freedom from the British yoke was delayed only because of the success of Mr. Jinnha of the Muslim league who openly declared that Hindu and Muslims in India were two separate nations. This came to be called to be a Two Nation Theory. The British supported this. Those Hindu and Muslims who had lived together for past centuries suddenly mistrusted each other on religious grounds till an open demand for the Muslims to convert Hindu India (Darul Herb) into (Darul Islam) a State governed totally by the Muslims. It is thus, a clear defeat of the Congress Leaders that was responsible for the geographical division of the sub-continent into two different sovereign countries. Hence, with such a historical past, reemergence of the political situation this time created by the left over Muslims in India after the partition of the country, does definitely arouse the legitimate concern to the majority population of the Hindus in India. Indeed, Hindus are rightly apprehensive to ensure what is left of the sub-continent is not allowed to drift into Darul Islam once again. To wipe off any Darul Herb, is the declared policy of the Millat (Pan Islamic fraternity). This sort of gradual maturity can be seen in the Indian State of J & K. hence, unless Hindus ancient acting as one common Nation unite themselves into a strong Nation with it as its sole aim, the country does run a great risk in times to come to convert the whole of India into Darul Islam. Naturally, the followers of each Sect restrict themselves within the close circle of their holy book’s contents and develop a special fraternal relationship between themselves as the respective followers of their faiths. The human society as such is therefore divided on the basis of the following of what said in their respective holy books. To say that homoexuality is fundamental right to live cant be more ridiculous and sick proposition.Sex is right to live? what utter nonsense? Gandhi ji’s letter dated New Delhi 27/28th June 1947 to Lord Mountbatten. I suggested the difference was only one of degree. I place the following for your consideration: “(a) The Congress has solemnly declared that it would not hold by force any Province within the Union. “(b) It is physically impossible for millions of caste ridden Hindus to hold well-knit though fewer millions of Muslims under subjection by force. “© It must not be forgotten that Muslim dynasties have progressively subjected India by exactly the same means as the English conquerors later did. “(d) Already there has been a movement to win over to the Muslim side the so-called scheduled classes and the so-called aboriginal races. “(e) The caste Hindus who are the bugbear are, it can be shown conclusively, a hopeless minority. Of these the armed Rajputs are not yet nationalists as a class. The Brahmins and the Banias are still untrained in the use of arms. Their supremacy where it exists is purely moral. The Sudras count, I am sorry, more as scheduled class than anthing else. That such Hindu society by reason of its mere superiority in numbers can crush millions of Muslims is an astounding myth.

Didn't he know that, in the event the British leave India, the more powerful Muslim community would forcibly snatch political power to itself and leave Hindus in a state of slavery as the latter had been in the medieval period? Gandhi’s secularism always aimed at destruction of Hindus at the hands of Muslims. Paswan’s secularism advocates a Muslim Chief-Minister in Bihar. Arjun’s secularism believes in distorting our history. Numerous such pseudo secularists have always been active to destroy the Hindus. Mulayam’s secularism impels him declare holiday in U.P. on last Friday of Ramjan. Mulayam, Pasvan and even Nitish Kumar throwing Iftaar parties to Muslims and wearing muslim caps on their heads shamelessly is the burning example of pseudo secularism.The irony is that their secularism erupts only when the interests of the non-Hindus are involved. Thousands of Hindus being murdered in Mopla and Naokhali riots before partition, lakhs of Hindus being butchered and crores suffering displacement during partition in 1947 did not make a dint on any of these secularists. Thousands of Hindus being slain in Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir and lakhs being rendered refugees in their own motherland did not shake the soul of the secularists. Conversion of Bangladesh from a secularist to an Islamic nation in 1979 did not perturb these secularists nor did the planned elimination of Hindus in Bangladesh and Pakistan caused qualms of conscience to them. The kar-sewaks burnt alive in Godhra doesn’t make any difference to these secularists, but its reaction in the form of Gujarat riots is termed as a “blot” on humanity. The exploitation of the lower castes at the hands of the privileged ones fomented hatred amongst the denizens of the country and weakened the Hindu race. Further, the Hindus being divided on caste lines in the past, the responsibility to fight and protect the country from foreign invaders was solely put on the Kshatriyas. This gave the others an excuse to shy away from the duty to sacrifice for the country. Whenever there was any attack, it was the Kshatriyas who were to face the brunt. Many a time their short number or non-availability of fighter-Kshatriyas lead to their defeat in wars.

The Muslim invaders plundered them, captured them, broke them, sacrileged them and converted them into Muslim monuments. The Hindus, instead of considering them a stigma on the national honour take pride in calling them national monuments. Millions of rupees are spent on their maintenance. Some have been given the status of heritage buildings. A community of self honour would never accept such humiliation like this. Time and again Commissions have been constituted to convict, by hook or crook, the accused of the 1984 Delhi riots and 2002 Gujarat riots even after their acquittal by the courts of law. On the other hand, terrorists like Wassan Singh Zaffarwal and Jagjit Singh Chouhan deserving severe punishment have gone scot-free for want of proof and it did not impel any secularist to deplore such acquittal and seek re-trial. Mushrooming madrasas in the country indulging in anti-India activities does not worry these secularists but they have the audacity to term the activities of RSS and VHP as anti-nation. For them, religion-based reservation for the Muslims in AMU is not an anti-national act, but the alleged discrimination in relief-distribution to the quake-hit in Bhuj surely perturbs these secularists. 5% reservation for Muslims in A.P. awaiting emulation by Bihar and many other State Governments is another burning example of their secularism. Pampering the Muslims at the cost of the Hindus is an unpardonable sin, which cannot be forgiven by any rational and nationalist Indian. It is nothing but a political gimmickry for appeasement of Muslims to garner their votes, which has rendered the Hindus orphans in their own land. The coming generations of ours are being recklessly thrown to a disadvantageous position. The virtual slavery is inevitable for us. Prophet Mohammed’s picture (cartoon) in a Danish newspaper attracted protest from Muslims all over the world. Conversely, you can amply see Hindu leaders neutralising efforts of their own brothers doing something for Hindu welfare and blaming of violating secularism. It is nothing but a cheap effort to earn momentary & transient acclaim from others. On the contrary, the leaders of other faiths fighting collective, forgetting their political differences, definitely fetches them tangible results. The above-mentioned points prove that the Hindus are dead race with impotent leaders. They are no better than sheep and goats. They take pride in being driven like cattle by others. The selfish Hindu leaders see nothing beyond their myopic ends. The meek & selfish Hindus are sure to extinct one day.

As per Frederick Douglass, “The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress.” India’s consistent policy of appeasement and of surrendering before its tormentors has resulted in genocide and eviction of Hindus from Kashmir.It is tragic that Kashmir, the land of Maharishi Kashyap, Lalitaditya, Kota Rani, Abhinavagupta and Kalhan; the cradle of Vedic heritage; and which was Hindu land with no Muslim presence, and which defeated Muslim invaders heroically for many centuries has been made a Hindu-less region.And to compound Hindu humiliation and disgrace, allotment of 40 hectares of forest land in May, 2008 to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board to provide temporary shelter for pilgrims visiting Amarnath shrine in Kashmir has been cancelled by the government on July 1, 2008 due to violent protests from Kashmiri Muslims who celebrated the cancellation as a “great victory”.Kashmiri leaders have opposed the allotment of land to Amarnath Shrine on the absurd ground that it is a conspiracy to reduce the Muslims to a minority in Kashmir. Stiff opposition to the said land allotment by Muslim majority Kashmir sends the perverse message that in secular India, Hindu-majority areas belong to everyone but Muslim-majority areas belong to Muslims only. Amarnath cave, the abode of Lord Shiva, is one of the oldest and most important Hindu pilgrimage centres. It is situated at an altitude of about 4000 metres in Kashmir. During 1980s and 1990s, Pakistan-sponsored terrorists killed thousands of Hindus in Kashmir, and drove out several lakhs of terrorized Hindus from Kashmir; and made Kashmir a Hindu-less region. Successive governments have done nothing to rehabilitate Hindus in Kashmir; and to punish their tormentors. Most of the Kashmiri Muslims treat J&K as an Islamic State in a ‘secular’ India, and treat Hindu pilgrims to Amarnath as tress passers. Kashmiri Muslims opposed this allotment of land since it was meant to provide shelters for Hindu pilgrims. The government capitulated before the violent protestors and revoked the allotment. This outrageous action shows pathetic plight of Hindus in their own country. Though ‘secularism’ implies separation of religion and State, and though a ‘secular’ State cannot reward or punish the people on the basis of their religious affiliation, ‘secularism’ practised in India means anti-Hinduism. With sub-zero temperatures, heavy rains and stormy weather during Amarnath pilgrimage, some basic facilities like shelters for the pilgrims on way to shrine are a must. The holy cave is accessible only during a short duration every year. Besides, many Amarnath pilgrims have been attacked and killed by terrorists in Kashmir. Fallacious pretensions advanced by Kashmiri leaders that the said lease of land would change the demography and “eco-cultural character” of the state are absurd. It is ludicrous to imagine that provision of temporary shelters to Amarnath pilgrims would reduce Muslims to a minority in Kashmir, or would destroy the environment. On the contrary, genocide and eviction of Hindus has made Kashmir a Hindu-less region. Opposition to allotment of land for Hindu pilgrims is described by Kashmiri leaders as ‘Kashmiri Nationalism’ thereby implying that Kashmir is meant only for Muslims. Most of Kashmiri leaders support pro-Pakistan demands like joint Indo-Pak control of Kashmir, demilitarisation of Jammu & Kashmir, legalizing Pakistani currency and open borders. Compare the Hindu pilgrim’s pathetic plight with the amenities provided by Central and State Governments to Indian Haj pilgrims. Indian government provides substantial subsidy to Muslims for Haj though even none of the 57 Muslim countries gives any such subsidy. Delhi airport has a separate Haj terminal. And there is a separate Haj cell in the ministry of external affairs. And many state governments have got Haj houses built on land provided by state governments. And Indian government ensures proper accommodation and safety of Indian Haj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia. Special teams of doctors, nurses and Haj officers are sent from India to Saudi Arabia to take proper care of Indian Haj pilgrims. In contrast, Hindus have been denied even temporary shelters to save them from heavy rain and snow when they visit their holy places in their own country. Shocking message from Kashmir deserves a deterrent and resolute response. Being a part of secular India, Kashmir cannot be just for Muslims. The blunders of retaining Article 370 in the constitution, and not punishing the criminals who killed thousands of Hindus and drove out lacs of Hindus from Kashmir, are responsible for the catastrophe called ‘Kashmiri Nationalism’. Daily Pak-Bangla terrorist and demographic invasion of India shows India’s pathetic plight. To save truncated India from demolition and dismemberment, Hindus have to discard their conceptual confusion and dream world; and become active and assertive. Deplorable situation must be redeemed at the earliest. Lacs of Kashmiri Hindus (who have been driven out of Kashmir) must be rehabilitated in Kashmir; and their homes, lands, properties and places of worship restored to them. Besides, since too much fraud has been perpetrated in the name of fake ‘secularism’, Article 370 must be deleted to enable Indians from the rest of India to settle in Kashmir the way Kashmiri Muslims are permitted to settle in the rest of India. After these measures are taken, no one will have the audacity to attack Hindu pilgrims or sabotage Hindu pilgrimages in Kashmir. Much of the injury Hindus are suffering is self-inflicted because of their capitulation before their tormentors. They must remember Shloka number 2.3 of Bhagvad Gita and fight for justice through all peaceful, constitutional and lawful means, “Klaibyam ma sama gamah Partha naitatava yupapadyate / Khshudram hrudaya dourbalyam tayaktvo uttishtha prantapa” (O Partha, do not yield to weakness. It is not worthy of you to yield to weakness. O scorchers of foes, shake off faint-heartedness, and get up).
It is interesting to find that the commonly agreed classification of atmospheric layers supports the Quranic information and it is beyond mere interest when we evaluate it together with all other scientific remarks in the Quran. Even if the reader does not find this classification persuasive, then he or she may subscribe to the alternative understanding that the figure seven expresses a plurality, without bringing any change in the miraculous significance of the verse. This double meaning of “seven layers” thus leaves no loopholes. Separating the atmosphere into harmonious layers is a modern discovery. The level of scientific knowledge at the time of the descent of the Quran did not permit making differentiation between the layers of atmosphere. Verse 12 of sura 41 reads: “So He ordained them seven heavens (skies) in two days (periods) and revealed in every heaven its affair...” making it clear that every layer served a different purpose, thanks to which life on earth was possible.

In this critical phase if one moderate voice within Islamism has emerged we should protect and preserve it. We should flood the embassy of Bangladesh in our country with petitions registering protest against immoral and autocratic stand of that country with predetermined trial of an innocent fighter against Islamism only to appease Islamist lobby.

Gandhi ji’s letter dated New Delhi 27/28th June 1947 to Lord Mountbatten. I told you that this was a grave mistake. The question of numbers was wholly untenable in this connection. I cited the classic example of less than one hundred thousand British soldiers holding India under utter subjection. You saw no analogy between the two instances. I suggested the difference was only one of degree. I place the following for your consideration: “(a) The Congress has solemnly declared that it would not hold by force any Province within the Union. “(b) It is physically impossible for millions of caste ridden Hindus to hold well-knit though fewer millions of Muslims under subjection by force. “© It must not be forgotten that Muslim dynasties have progressively subjected India by exactly the same means as the English conquerors later did. “(d) Already there has been a movement to win over to the Muslim side the so-called scheduled classes and the so-called aboriginal races. “(e) The caste Hindus who are the bugbear are, it can be shown conclusively, a hopeless minority. Of these the armed Rajputs are not yet nationalists as a class. The Brahmins and the Banias are still untrained in the use of arms. Their supremacy where it exists is purely moral. Conversion of Bangladesh from a secularist to an Islamic nation in 1979 did not perturb these secularists nor did the planned elimination of Hindus in Bangladesh and Pakistan caused qualms of conscience to them. The Hindus, instead of considering them a stigma on the national honour take pride in calling them national monuments. Millions of rupees are spent on their maintenance. Some have been given the status of heritage buildings. A community of self honour would never accept such humiliation like this. Time and again Commissions have been constituted to convict, by hook or crook, the accused of the 1984 Delhi riots and 2002 Gujarat riots even after their acquittal by the courts of law. On the other hand, terrorists like Wassan Singh Zaffarwal and Jagjit Singh Chouhan deserving severe punishment have gone scot-free for want of proof and it did not impel any secularist to deplore such acquittal and seek re-trial. Mushrooming madrasas in the country indulging in anti-India activities does not worry these secularists but they have the audacity to term the activities of RSS and VHP as anti-nation. For them, religion-based reservation for the Muslims in AMU is not an anti-national act, but the alleged discrimination in relief-distribution to the quake-hit in Bhuj surely perturbs these secularists. 5% reservation for Muslims in A.P. awaiting emulation by Bihar and many other State Governments is another burning example of their secularism. Pampering the Muslims at the cost of the Hindus is an unpardonable sin, which cannot be forgiven by any rational and nationalist Indian. It is nothing but a political gimmickry for appeasement of Muslims to garner their votes, which has rendered the Hindus orphans in their own land. The coming generations of ours are being recklessly thrown to a disadvantageous position. The virtual slavery is inevitable for us. Prophet Mohammed’s picture (cartoon) in a Danish newspaper attracted protest from Muslims all over the world. Conversely, you can amply see Hindu leaders neutralising efforts of their own brothers doing something for Hindu welfare and blaming of violating secularism. Stiff opposition to the said land allotment by Muslim majority Kashmir sends the perverse message that in secular India, Hindu-majority areas belong to everyone but Muslim-majority areas belong to Muslims only. Amarnath cave, the abode of Lord Shiva, is one of the oldest and most important Hindu pilgrimage centres. It is situated at an altitude of about 4000 metres in Kashmir. During 1980s and 1990s, Pakistan-sponsored terrorists killed thousands of Hindus in Kashmir, and drove out several lakhs of terrorized Hindus from Kashmir; and made Kashmir a Hindu-less region. Successive governments have done nothing to rehabilitate Hindus in Kashmir; and to punish their tormentors. Most of the Kashmiri Muslims treat J&K as an Islamic State in a ‘secular’ India, and treat Hindu pilgrims to Amarnath as tress passers. Kashmiri Muslims opposed this allotment of land since it was meant to provide shelters for Hindu pilgrims. The government capitulated before the violent protestors and revoked the allotment. This outrageous action shows pathetic plight of Hindus in their own country. Though ‘secularism’ implies separation of religion and State, and though a ‘secular’ State cannot reward or punish the people on the basis of their religious affiliation, ‘secularism’ practised in India means anti-Hinduism. With sub-zero temperatures, heavy rains and stormy weather during Amarnath pilgrimage, some basic facilities like shelters for the pilgrims on way to shrine are a must. The holy cave is accessible only during a short duration every year. Besides, many Amarnath pilgrims have been attacked and killed by terrorists in Kashmir. Fallacious pretensions advanced by Kashmiri leaders that the said lease of land would change the demography and “eco-cultural character” of the state are absurd. It is ludicrous to imagine that provision of temporary shelters to Amarnath pilgrims would reduce Muslims to a minority in Kashmir, or would destroy the environment. On the contrary, genocide and eviction of Hindus has made Kashmir a Hindu-less region. Opposition to allotment of land for Hindu pilgrims is described by Kashmiri leaders as ‘Kashmiri Nationalism’ thereby implying that Kashmir is meant only for Muslims. Most of Kashmiri leaders support pro-Pakistan demands like joint Indo-Pak control of Kashmir, demilitarisation of Jammu & Kashmir, legalizing Pakistani currency and open borders. Compare the Hindu pilgrim’s pathetic plight with the amenities provided by Central and State Governments to Indian Haj pilgrims. Indian government provides substantial subsidy to Muslims for Haj though even none of the 57 Muslim countries gives any such subsidy. Delhi airport has a separate Haj terminal. And there is a separate Haj cell in the ministry of external affairs. And many state governments have got Haj houses built on land provided by state governments. And Indian government ensures proper accommodation and safety of Indian Haj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia. Special teams of doctors, nurses and Haj officers are sent from India to Saudi Arabia to take proper care of Indian Haj pilgrims. In contrast, Hindus have been denied even temporary shelters to save them from heavy rain and snow when they visit their holy places in their own country. Shocking message from Kashmir deserves a deterrent and resolute response. Being a part of secular India, Kashmir cannot be just for Muslims. The blunders of retaining Article 370 in the constitution, and not punishing the criminals who killed thousands of Hindus and drove out lacs of Hindus from Kashmir, are responsible for the catastrophe called ‘Kashmiri Nationalism’. Daily Pak-Bangla terrorist and demographic invasion of India shows India’s pathetic plight. To save truncated India from demolition and dismemberment, Hindus have to discard their conceptual confusion and dream world; and become active and assertive. Deplorable situation must be redeemed at the earliest. Lacs of Kashmiri Hindus (who have been driven out of Kashmir) must be rehabilitated in Kashmir; and their homes, lands, properties and places of worship restored to them. Besides, since too much fraud has been perpetrated in the name of fake ‘secularism’, Article 370 must be deleted to enable Indians from the rest of India to settle in Kashmir the way Kashmiri Muslims are permitted to settle in the rest of India. After these measures are taken, no one will have the audacity to attack Hindu pilgrims or sabotage Hindu pilgrimages in Kashmir. Much of the injury Hindus are suffering is self-inflicted because of their capitulation before their tormentors. They must remember Shloka number 2.3 of Bhagvad Gita and fight for justice through all peaceful, constitutional and lawful means, “Klaibyam ma sama gamah Partha naitatava yupapadyate / Khshudram hrudaya dourbalyam tayaktvo uttishtha prantapa” (O Partha, do not yield to weakness. It is not worthy of you to yield to weakness. O scorchers of foes, shake off faint-heartedness, and get up).
It is interesting to find that the commonly agreed classification of atmospheric layers supports the Quranic information and it is beyond mere interest when we evaluate it together with all other scientific remarks in the Quran. The level of scientific knowledge at the time of the descent of the Quran did not permit making differentiation between the layers of atmosphere. Verse 12 of sura 41 reads: “So He ordained them seven heavens (skies) in two days (periods) and revealed in every heaven its affair...” making it clear that every layer served a different purpose, thanks to which life on earth was possible.

Antulay is not merely the bridge between Sonia and Islamic mafia, but he is also the progenitor of the underworld Islamic mafia in Mumbai. Under his regime in Mumbai, the notorious Islamic mass murderer and mafia don Dawood Ibrahim was able to establish his criminal empire. Abdul Rahman Antulay made an erroneous and accusatory statement in Parliament that Hindu activists may be responsible for the murder of Maharashtra ATS Chief Hemant Karkare. His false accusation of innocent Hindus, the victims of Jihadi terrorism is utterly without merit. His diversionary tactic is a deliberate attempt to mentally misdirect the gullible public from the colossal failure of the Sonia government. The baseless allegation simply is attributed to save inept, corrupt and indifferent Congress ministers. Equally misleading is his malicious attempt to depict peace loving Hindus as the chief architects of the Jihadi massacre in Mumbai. Antulay is a point man for Sonia to hoodwink the public. His malicious statement is a psychological ploy to cover up the Congress government’s dereliction of responsibilities and misconduct in safe guarding life and liberty of citizens. Like an apocalyptic Islamic terrorist, Antulay is suffering from a peculiar malignant Islamic madness. His accusatory statement is, in fact, an attempt to avoid recognition of the darkness and Islamic hatred within him. The portrayal of Hindus as wild animals destroying lives is sheer Islamic Al-Taquiea. With this false diversionary ploy, the Antulay Islamic gang is systematically undermining India’s ability to defend itself against Islamic terrorists. Antulay’s Islamic political double game is nothing new. During his administration in Maharashtra, he encouraged pro-criminal Islamic values and endorsed Islamic smugglers, and Jihadi mafia gang in Mumbai.

On 11th June when I received email form Salahuddin I got my eyes wet imaging the horrific anti climax of his struggle. Salahuddin Shoaib choudhary is not fighting for himself only his fight belong to all of us who are worried for the safe and free world as well as safe future for our next generation. What a paradox with South Asia on the one hand a terrorist who was responsible for attack on Indian parliament and who been executed to death penalty from lower court to Supreme court of India is pleading for clemency and due to Muslim appeasement Indian Government headed by Congress and Left are trying hard to delay the execution of Mohammad Afzal and on the other hand government of Bangladesh is trying hard to execute a moderate voice in Islam to appease Islamists in their own country. This contrast with similarity reflects the moral bankruptcy of South Asian countries and their submission to Islamist terrorism and Muslim appeasement. We have bitter experience of our neighbor countries with lack of democracy and respect for dissent voice. We have Pakistan and now Bangladesh which have fallen in the hands of Islamist forces and radical Islamist political parties in the grab of pseudo democracy not only protecting these forces but also nourishing them. In this critical phase if one moderate voice within Islamism has emerged we should protect and preserve it. Salahuddin is a victim of Islamism as we have earlier Salman Rushdie, Taslima Nasrin, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Wafa Sultan and Ali Sina in this category. Salahuddin is a man who is ray of hope in this fight against Islamist terrorism and world can not afford to loose these kinds of warriors who are challenging the hegemony of Islamism within Islam. From last four issues of his weekly magazine he is writing a series of articles on Islamist terrorism with wide and deep information’s of base of Al-Queda and other terrorist networks in several parts of the world. For last few years Islamist terrorism has taken a new shift and south Asia has emerged as new hub of terrorism with Pakistan and Bangladesh as new gravity centre. Since 9\11 every major terrorist incident which happened across the world whether it is Europe or other parts of the world has role of Pakistan based terrorist groups as well as Bangladesh. Terrorism has grown to such proportion as it has gone out of hand and new strategy needed to tackle it properly. This new strategy is based on alliance against terrorism. This alliance could become reality once all terror affected civilizations and moderate voice among Islamic world come close together. In this new era of information it has become very easy to search our allies and be in touch with them. Dr Richard Benkin and Salahuddin are discovery of this new technology for me. Need of the hour is to rally behind Salahuddin in his critical phase to boost his morale. Salahuddin is not fighting only for his survival his success or defeat is going to decide our fate also as whether we would be able to preserve a moderate voice among Islam and pave the way for democratization of Islamic society in south Asia or not. We can defend him by our will power and academic efforts also. We should flood the embassy of Bangladesh in our country with petitions registering protest against immoral and autocratic stand of that country with predetermined trial of an innocent fighter against Islamism only to appease Islamist lobby.

This Husain has committed greater iconoclasm with his brush than Aurangzeb and other Mohammedan invaders did with their hammers and tongs on Hindu temples in the medieval period. This is all due to the anti-Hindu regime right since 1947. Attacks on Hindus and Hindu icons is likely to be more in the coming period. Kaul's verdict that Husain's opposition is by "largely ignorant crowd" is indicative of his madness. Greater shame is, however, on the huge Hindu organizations, like the RSS and the VHP, who swear by Hindu Dharma, Hindu culture and pose to be their greatest protectors and promoters. The case was largely lost because only a junior advocate presented the Hindu case, while renowned senior advocates pleaded in favour of Husain. The said Hindu organizations kept themselves out of the picture. You ought to know that in India it is not the merit of the case but the status of the lawyers which decide the cases in courts of law.
